Care Instructions

• Shedding is a natural occurrence with all rugs, especially wool rugs. This is not considered a defect. Regular vacuuming will alleviate this issue in time.

• Silk, bamboo silk, and viscose are luxurious & delicate fibers. Placement of rugs with these fibers should be avoided in heavy traffic areas.

• Avoid pulling loose yarns. Clip as needed with scissors even with the surrounding pile.

• Keep your rug away from direct sunlight. Direct sunlight can potentially cause enormous amounts of damage, especially to the colors.

• A rug pad is recommended to preserve the life of rug.

• We recommend that you vacuum your rug at least twice a week, and even more often for rugs in high traffic areas. Vacuum with a suction nozzle only, not a beater bar or bristle brush as they can agitate the pile. Vacuum in the same direction as the pile.

• Spot clean only by blotting (not scrubbing) with plain water and a damp wet white cloth. Do not use any cleaners or chemicals as they could damage the rug. For problem stains and deep cleaning, consult a Professional Cleaning Company experienced in fine area rugs.

• Have your rug professionally cleaned every five to seven years. If your rug is in a high-traffic area, you may need to clean it more often.
